Gabriella Herrera (Chicana/Tarahumara) is a fourth year medical student at Harvard Medical School from Tracy, California. She has a strong interest and background in the care of and health outcomes for Latinx and Native American populations. Her current research focuses on diabetes-related mortality for Native American populations in the Great Plains region of the U.S. She graduated this past May 2020 from the T.H. Chan School of Public Health with a focus in health disparities and the social determinants of health. Gabriella has been an active member of the HUNAP community since her years as an undergraduate at Harvard College, and is excited to be working more closely with the office.
