His research interests include: Očhéti Šakówiŋ Language and Literature, Native American and Indigenous Literatures, Native American and Indigenous Studies, Global Anglophone Indigenous Literatures, Nineteenth- and Twentieth-Century American Literature, and Critical Indigenous Theory.
