Native American & Indigenous Issues Symposium: Reimagining Kinship Consultation & Partnership
Date and Time
April 2, 2026
08:30PM - 03:15PM America/New_York
The HUNAP Spring NAIS Symposium is an opportunity to publicly showcase case studies and a path forward to a NAIS mission for Harvard University. The focus of the symposium is best practices for Academic and Community collaboration.
Key questions to address are:
- How academic research can be done in partnership with Tribal Nations and historians?
- How does this work benefit both Universities and Tribal Nations reciprocally? What case studies do we see at Harvard already that can be built upon?
- What partnership can be forged at this moment?
- How are other entities tackling this work?
This is also an opportunity to highlight the important history and impact of King Phillip’s War/Metacom’s Rebellion and to honor and commemorate the 350th anniversary of the start of this conflict.
