The HUNAP Spring NAIS Symposium is an opportunity to publicly showcase case studies and a path forward to a NAIS mission for Harvard University. The focus of the symposium is best practices for Academic and Community collaboration.

Key questions to address are:

  • How academic research can be done in partnership with Tribal Nations and historians?
  • How does this work benefit both Universities and Tribal Nations reciprocally? What case studies do we see at Harvard already that can be built upon?
  • What partnership can be forged at this moment?
  • How are other entities tackling this work?

This is also an opportunity to highlight the important history and impact of King Phillip’s War/Metacom’s Rebellion and to honor and commemorate the 350th anniversary of the start of this conflict.
