Join Ms. Marilyn Vann (Cherokee Nation citizen) for a discussion on the current statuses, histories, and advocacy efforts of Freedmen of the Five Former Slaveholding Tribes (descendants of enslaved people of African ancestry in the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Muscogee Creek, and Seminole Nations). Topics will include tribal citizenship, sovereignty, and the historic and present-day statuses of Freedmen.
