Crystal Echo Hawk initiated the first ever Native-led survey of Native peoples in 2020, the Indigenous Futures Survey. What do the findings indicate about the identity, political experience, and concerns of Native peoples in the 21st century? Why have federal and local government policies fallen short of meeting the needs of Native communities? How are Native peoples envisioning the future and possibilities of achieving sovereignty and racial justice?
